Howard Farber, Publisher. Farber is the co-founder and director of the Farber Foundation, the sponsoring organization for Cuban Art News. With his wife Patricia, Farber has been actively involved in international culture for the past forty years, as both art collector and patron. Having assembled major collections of American modernist painting and contemporary Chinese art, the Farbers turned to contemporary Cuban art in 2001. The Farber Collection is widely acknowledged as one of the premier collections of Cuban art in private hands.
Abelardo G. Mena Chicuri, Havana Editor. The founding editor of Cuban Art News, Mena Chicuri is curator of contemporary art at the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Havana. He is curator of the Farber Collection, Miami, and author of the book Cuba Avant-Garde (2007).
Susan Delson, New York Editor. A seasoned editor of magazines, books, and digital media, Delson played a key role in the development of Cuban Art News and continues to direct its editorial operations in New York. A former editor at Forbes, Delson has also edited several books on contemporary art and culture, including Quay Brothers: On Deciphering the Pharmacist’s Prescription for Lip-Reading Puppets (MoMA, 2012) and Ai Weiwei: Circle of Animals (Prestel, 2011). She is the author of Dudley Murphy, Hollywood Wild Card (University of Minnesota Press, 2006).
Nadine Covert, Contributing Editor. Covert is a specialist in visual arts media with a focus on documentaries. She was for many years the Executive Director of the Educational Film Library Association (EFLA) and Director of its American Film Festival, then the major documentary competition in the U.S. She later became director of the Program for Art on Film, a joint venture of the J. Paul Getty Trust and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Covert has served on the board of the Robert Flaherty Film Seminar, and is currently a consultant to the Montreal International Festival of Films on Art (FIFA).
Danays Arzuaga Díaz, Translator, Havana. Graduated from English and French at the Faculty of Foreign Language of the University of Havana in 2008. She has been the translator for the Cuban Art News website since 2010.
